The Transatlantic Poetry Slam

Live internet-linked slam hosted simultaneously in New York and Oxford

On Saturday evening, audiences in Manhattan and Oxford witnessed the world’s first ever transatlantic poetry slam, with teams from the USA & UK fighting it out to see who would take the spoils at this competitive live event. In the end, it was the team in New York that came out on top, however the audiences on both sides of the pond were treated to world-class performances from eight of the finest poets on the world circuit.

This amazing night of performance poetry, produced by ourselves in association with Hammer & Tongue, SlamIdol & Science Oxford, was a sell-out success, with everyone having a fantastic time. Both teams performed brilliantly, however with the Americans ultimately winning the audiences over…
